Happy Birthday, Walt Disney!

On this day, 110 years ago, Walt Disney was born. To honor the entertainment icon's birthday, Moviefone wants to know which Disney film you consider a favorite. (A tough choice to say the least.) After creating the company's first feature-length film, 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,' in 1937, Disney went on to make hundreds of family classics -- 'Cinderella,' 'The Parent Trap,' 'Mary Poppins,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'The Lion King,' just to name a few.

So! Celebrate Walt's 110th birthday by selecting on of the films below. If your favorite film isn't listed, then sound off in the comments! (There has to be one person out there who is a diehard 'Shipwrecked' fan.)

Happy Birthday, Walt!

All Automotive Product sales Prospects Aren't Put together Equal ...

I at the time had a boss who liked to mention ?All leads are the same?. I adopted that phrase right up until I a person day recognized that it was thoroughly improper. The truth of the matter is all automotive product sales leads are not similar. Depending on the supply and just how theyre acquired, it could possibly suggest the difference amongst a great lead supply supplier and one which drains revenue from you for completely ineffective automotive product sales leads.

What constitutes successful automotive product sales leads? Question any automotive dealer and theyll say one thing like ?if I provide a car?. Though accurate, its crucial that you evaluate the big photograph along with the strategies it requires to obtain on the point where by Mr. and Mrs. Smith are purchasing a automotive and signing the paperwork on your business office.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith begun off being a couple thinking about the purchase of a automobile. With Mr. Smiths prolonged hrs at perform and Mrs. Smiths possessing her private online business, they dont possess the time to go into a dealership. They use a lookup motor to glimpse for that kind of automotive that theyre fascinated by. They land in your web pages wanting to learn some information in regards to the exact automobile they need. Its 2AM, the very first second that Mr. Smith has needed to himself in a very week. He has inquiries. Who does he turn to?

This could go one in every of two tactics: He could pay five minutes in your web pages attempting to find the solutions to his multiple inquiries, and leave a concept in your dealerships voicemail hoping that he can response the get in touch with the next day. Or, a dealer chat representative can greet Mr. Smith, want him a good evening, and supply for being of support. With proven-effective scripts, a chat agent can wander Mr. Smith throughout the method, response his inquiries, and get him set up to return into your dealership on his only day off: Saturday.

Its also really worth mentioning forexteam that one month in the past, Mrs. Smith was filling out a survey on the net for one thing thoroughly unrelated. She gave a false mobile phone number, but a reputable e-mail handle and claimed she ?might? be interested in acquiring someday sooner or later. This was forwarded to you personally as an automotive product sales lead. When a representative got throughout to her e-mail, Mrs. Smith wrote back again that she wasnt available in the market nor would she be right up until following 12 months. It absolutely was published off being a unfavorable lead.

But here they can be, one month afterwards, on your business office, signing paperwork for their new automotive. All of this from a speedy hi there by way of a dealer chat session at 2AM.

However a fictional situation, this dealer chat position is frequent. With schedules the way in which they can be, more and more people are turning on the on line to make their buying far more easy. If Mr. Smith landed in your web pages at 2AM, would he happen to have been greeted and helped? Would you have even recognized that he stopped by? Any solitary visitor is a possibilities automotive product sales lead. Any automotive product sales lead is a possibilities sale and consumer for everyday living. Seller chat can help to capture these site visitors and convert them into final product sales.

Summary Box: Early rally fades on downgrade fears (AP)

MORNING RALLY: Stocks rose sharply in the first few minutes of trading and remained sharply higher until mid-afternoon. Traders were reacting to statements from the leaders of France and Germany, who are scrambling to show they can rescue the euro union.

EURO HOPES: German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy said they want a fresh treaty for Europe that would impose tighter budget restrictions on their neighbors.

AFTERNOON DRAG: Stocks gave back about half of their gains after news reports emerged that Standard & Poor's will put all nations using the euro on "creditwatch negative," meaning there is a 50-50 chance of a downgrade in the coming months.

Boeing's Plan to Return to the Moon by 2022 (ContributorNetwork)

NASA Space Flight is reporting that Boeing made a presentation at the latest Global Exploration Workshop of a plan to return Americans to the moon by 2022, 50 years after the last astronauts walked on the moon.

The Boeing plan, which uses a "way station" located at the L1 point where the gravities of the Earth and moon cancel one another out as well as a reusable lunar lander is the first detailed approach to a return to the moon.

What would the way station look like?

The way station would be constructed at the International Space Station, using the remote manipulator arm. It would consist of a "Node4/DHS (Docking Hub System), an orbiter external air lock, a MPLM (Multi-Purpose Logistics Module) habitat module, and an international module." The various modules would be launched to the ISS with commercial rockets such as the Atlas V. Once assembled, a "space tug" would convey the way station to the L1 point.

How would the reusable lunar lander work?

A Space Launch System Heavy Lift launcher would deliver a fuel depot to the way station. Then a second SLS would deliver an Orion Multi Purpose Crew Vehicle and a reusable lunar lander. The lunar lander would take on fuel at the depot and then proceed on to the moon with the crew delivered by the Orion. The crew would conduct lunar surface operations, then return to the way station, transfer to the Orion, and return to Earth. Commercial launchers would top off the fuel depot as needed for subsequent lunar missions.

There is also a secondary plan that involves deploying the reusable lunar lander at the way station while it is built at the ISS. The SLS would launch an Orion MPCV and a Delta Cryogenic Second Stage (DCSS) to the way station. The DCSS would transfer fuel to the lander and then would boost it to the moon. As in the first scenario, the crew conducts lunar surface operations, then returns to the way station, transfers to the Orion, and returns to Earth.

The advantage of the second scenario over the first is that the long term storage of fuel is not necessary. The problem of preventing "boil off" of cryogenic fuel is one that would have to be solved before long term, space based depots become practicable.

What are the advantages of the Boeing plan?

Billions of dollars would be saved with a reusable lunar and one launch of an SLS per lunar mission. The way station could also be used as a base for running tele-operated robots on the lunar surface and deploying lunar surface infrastructure such as habitats.

What are some show stoppers?

The official plan, as articulated by President Obama, is still to bypass the moon and go to an Earth approaching asteroid. Also some analysts, such as Clark Lindsey, claim that there will be no money available for a way station and a reusable lunar lander and a heavy lift Space Launch System. But Lindsey's prediction of what the fiscal and political situation of 2018-2022 when this hardware would be developed and deployed remains idle conjecture, projecting the current situation into the future without changes that might be brought about by an election of a new administration.

Penn State pledges $1.5M for sex-crimes groups (AP)

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. ? Penn State will donate $1.5 million in bowl proceeds to a pair of groups that work with sex-crime victims, a gesture aimed at healing the school's battered image in the wake of child sex charges against a former assistant football coach.

University President Rod Erickson promised the donation the morning after he and other administrators faced pointed questions at a student-organized town hall forum.

Erickson told The Associated Press in an interview Thursday that the Big Ten bowl revenue, which usually goes back to the athletic department, will go instead to the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center.

"This presents an excellent opportunity for Penn State to raise the national visibility of this issue," Erickson said. "Our students and fans are focused on a cause to play for, to cheer for."

Also Thursday, Jerry Sandusky's lawyer said he has not discussed pleading guilty with his client and that the former coach continues to maintain he is innocent of the charges against him.

Joe Amendola said he would consider "possible alternatives" with Sandusky if new charges are filed that involve more victims than the eight boys covered by the 40 pending criminal counts, but that Sandusky has never considered a plea in his case. Sandusky, 67, is awaiting a preliminary hearing.

Amendola said the topic of a guilty plea came up as a "what if" question from a reporter about potential additional charges.

"My answer to the `what if' question was analogous to saying, if weather forecasters were predicting a blizzard next week, which they are not, I would have to at least consider the possibility of postponing my scheduled trip to Philadelphia," Amendola said in an email.

In another development, lawyers for a young man described in a grand jury report as a victim of sexual abuse by Sandusky said Thursday they had settled a legal action regarding a charity's assets.

Harrisburg attorneys Ben Andreozzi and Jeffrey Fritz said the settlement protected the claim their client plans to assert to the assets of The Second Mile, a nonprofit for at-risk children Sandusky founded in 1977.

"We intend to initiate a civil lawsuit seeking damages from the organizations and individuals responsible for the sexual assaults upon our clients," the lawyers said in a release. "However, our priority at this time is to support our clients, including Victim No. 4, who will be testifying against Mr. Sandusky at the preliminary hearing."

Andreozzi and Fritz said that under terms of the settlement, The Second Mile has agreed to obtain court approval before transferring assets or closing and give their client the ability to weigh in before a judge regarding any distribution of assets.

The Second Mile released a statement calling the agreement a reiteration of its existing legal liabilities and saying it does not include a finding of liability.

The Second Mile said earlier this week that its donors should consider giving their money instead to the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape, the latest sign that the charity may not be around much longer. The Second Mile said its December programs would go on as scheduled, however.

The Wednesday night forum on Penn State's main campus came on the heels of fresh sex abuse allegations against Sandusky, who was accused in a lawsuit of sexually abusing a young boy more than 100 times after meeting him through his charity.

The state police commissioner has criticized school leaders for failing to do more to alert authorities to the allegations, and Erickson told about 450 attendees at a crowded auditorium at the student union building that ethics would be raised "to a new level so that everyone at the university understands not just the legal thing to do, but the moral thing to do, so that we learn to do the right thing the first time, every time."

Students appeared grateful to get answers more than three weeks after Sandusky was charged Nov. 5, hopeful it would aid in the arduous healing process.

"I think this is a good start for a lot of good things that can happen at the university," said student Andrew Comes, 21, following the two-hour forum. "It's a singularly bad event, but there can still be positive repercussions and good things happening from it."

Administrators sought to reassure students worried about the unintended ramifications of the scandal, such as the reputation of a Penn State degree.

After several questioners mentioned they felt shamed by the scandal, vice president Henry Foley, as part of an answer about the school's top three priorities, told students to focus on academics and to "recognize that none of you are guilty. ... You may feel shame, but none of you are guilty. Just keep doing what you came here to do."

The scandal has resulted in the departures of head coach Joe Paterno and university President Graham Spanier. Athletic Director Tim Curley has been placed on administrative leave, and Vice President Gary Schultz, who was in charge of the university's police department, has stepped down.

Schultz and Curley are charged with lying to the grand jury and failure to report to police. They also maintain their innocence and have a preliminary hearing later this month.

Erickson told reporters after the forum that Spanier was on sabbatical and that as a tenured faculty member would have the right to teach if he so desired.

Several students also asked about the treatment of Paterno, who was the only school leader fired in the scandal's aftermath. Erickson said afterward he could not offer a detailed answer because it was the trustees' decision.

He reiterated there was no truth to Internet-fueled rumors that Paterno's statue outside Beaver Stadium would be removed or that the Paterno name would be removed from the campus library for which the Paterno family has donated millions of dollars.

"At some appropriate time down the road, I'm sure there will be an opportunity to also reflect on the many years of service Joe and (wife Sue Paterno) provided the university and the many good things that they've done for Penn State," Erickson said, eliciting brief applause.

Lockheed Martin shows us how it's getting Orion ready to explore the cosmos

It's not every day that America designs an entirely new spacecraft. Rarer still is the creation of a vehicle that can carry man, not just machine, beyond the earth's gravitational pull. In the history of the world, there have been only eight such human transports: the Vostok, Voskhod, and Soyuz capsules from Russia, the American-made Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsules, plus the Space Shuttle, and China's Shenzhou spacecraft. That list is going to get a new member soon, as NASA (with a big assist from Lockheed Martin) is building the most technologically advanced spaceship the Earth has ever seen; the aptly-named Orion.

In ancient Greek mythology, Orion was a hunter born of the earth who was eventually placed among the heavens by Zeus. NASA's Orion is a multipurpose crew vehicle (MPCV) that looks similar to the Apollo capsules and is here to replace the venerable Space Shuttle. It's capable of taking us further into the cosmos to than we've ever been -- to asteroids, the moon, and even Mars. This mission flexibility and interplanetary reach is what sets Orion apart from previous manned spacecraft, but that adaptability requires some heavy duty engineering and extensive testing to guarantee its ability to handle any NASA mission with aplomb. Head on past to break to learn more about how Lockheed Martin's getting the MPCV ready for deep space.

Apia Most Recommended Insurance Provider in Australia, Third ...

apiaApia, the leading national insurance provider for over 50s, has been named the Most Recommended Home and Contents Insurer for the third year in a row, and the Most Recommended Motor Insurer for the second year in a row.
In an independent survey of customer experience across the Australian insurance industry by Engaged Marketing, Apia?s customers were found to be the most likely to recommend its services to others, measured by the internationally recognised standard, the Net Promoter Score.

This accolade comes less than a week after being awarded the Financial Review?s Smart Investor League of Exceptional Service (SMILES) Award for best General Insurer.

Grant Taylor, Executive Manager of Apia, said that the result, part of Engaged Marketing?s annual Consumer Recommendation and Loyalty Survey, demonstrated the commitment that Apia?s people have to deliver an exceptional customer experience, day in and day out.

?This award is a testament to the hard work of everyone in Apia, from our customer service teams in our call centres and branch network, through to our claims teams, and everyone in between.

?At Apia, we work hard to understand the needs of our customers, and the products we offer and service we deliver I think reflects this. Winning this accolade several years in a row now indicates that we?re on the right path.

?Ultimately when you sell insurance, you are providing your customers with a promise to your customers that you will be there for them when they need you.

?Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for our customer to deal with us. For example, we have real people available to speak to 24 hours a day, and our staff are encouraged to spend as long as is necessary to help their customer, rather than to simply ?get through? a certain volume of calls. It is extremely important to us that our frontline staff treat each of our customers as individuals, rather than a policy number.?

Apia is a specialist insurance provider for people aged over 50. Providing a wide range of home and contents insurance, car insurance, caravan insurance, motorhome insurance, boat insurance and life insurance solutions tailored to the over 50s life stage, Apia has a network of 28 branches across Australia serving almost 700,000 policy holders.

Ingrid Simone: Managing the Kids' Media with Your Ex

Originally created for commonsensemedia.org.

"Is it that bad to let your kids watch Aliens?" My ex-husband posed this question to me -- and he was dead serious. Did I mention that our kids are 6 and 8?

For the most part, my ex and I agree on media choices for the kids, and we try to be respectful of each other's wishes. He'll call to ask what Common Sense Media says about a movie before taking the kids to see it. I'll check with him about how much screen time they've had at his place so that I can adjust when the kids are with me. Still, there are some things we don't see eye-to-eye on.

Figuring out media rules for your home is a challenge in itself, but trying to find middle ground across two parental households and between two people who -- shockingly -- might not agree on everything, can be twice as challenging. It's especially difficult during the holidays, when kids are off school and may be spending more time in each parent's household -- and possibly watching more TV, playing more games, and overdosing on movies. How can divorced parents come to an agreement on media rules for their separate households and keep the peace over the holidays?

Plan ahead.
The holidays are already a high-stress time for many families. Don't wait until your kids are off school and already getting bored and antsy to try to figure out media rules. Even if you've already set basic ground rules, go into the holiday season with a plan specifically for those couple of weeks the kids are off. Is there a certain movie one of you would like to take the kids to see? Does one of you plan to buy the kids a new video game? How much daily screen time can kids get while they're on break? Put the plan in writing, and make it easy to access in case you need a quick reminder (I keep mine on my phone).

Planning ahead will give you time to put some thought into what's really important to you, research specific titles, reduce the likelihood of unwelcome media-related surprises, and hopefully avoid unnecessary conflict.

Divvy it up.
Consider eliminating some of the overlap in media -- have each parent manage a specific type of media in his or her home. My kids, for example, don't watch much TV at my house, but they do use apps and play Wii games. They watch more TV at their dad's house but don't spend as much time playing electronic games. Dad is more likely to take them to a movie; Mom is more likely to grab a DVD for them to watch.

With each parent having some ownership over specific forms of media, it'll be easier to track kids' overall media intake, feel less like a media free-for-all, and help both parents with media accountability.

Pick your battles.
It was jarring to hear my 6-year-old son singing about a woman with "boobies like wow, oh, wow." That's a battle I'm willing to fight. But when my kids say they watched TV all day at Dad's house once, but it's not a regular thing, I'll let that go (although I'll probably remember to put some brand-new books and activities in their backpacks during the next hand-off). It's normal to want to have some non-negotiables, but not everything should fall into that category.

Communicate.
Yes, it's often easier said than done. If you and your ex aren't in a place where it's easy to talk about potential areas of conflict, consider figuring it all out over email, collaborating via instant message or a shared web-based document, or even using old-fashioned written notes. And if, for some reason, you want to adjust the plan you've agreed to (though try to keep that to a minimum), communicate the situation beforehand -- no one likes being blindsided.
Syncing up media rules with your ex is key to managing your kids' overall screen time and having a measure of quality control. Screen time, age-appropriate media, quality content, limiting ads -- all of that matters in a 24/7 media world, and over the holidays kids have even more free time to consume more media. You may not be able to control everything, but you can agree on some basic ground rules so that media doesn't come between you and your kids or cause conflict between you and your ex.
